A contact form can do more than answer “How can I reach you?” Use the same mailcontact connection for a customer feedback form, a review request or a support form. Change the labels on your website; messages still arrive in your project inbox.
Three useful forms beyond “Contact us”
- Customer feedback: ask “What should we improve?” Link to the form from your app, after onboarding or when you ship a feature.
- Reviews and testimonials: ask customers about their experience. Their responses arrive privately so you can read them and ask before publishing a quote.
- Support and bug reports: ask what happened, which page was affected and how to reproduce the problem. Keep the details in the message.
Each form needs an email address and a message. A name and subject are optional. You can reply from mailcontact on Pro and Plus, and add a support email address for your app alongside the form.
Set up a feedback or support form
- Create your project inbox and copy its form link from the inbox settings.
- Add a form to your website. Use a focused heading such as “Send feedback” or “Get help” and ask one clear question above the message field.
- Connect it using the form setup guide, then send a test message and check your inbox.
Your project's form link can receive submissions from several pages. Set the subject to “Feedback”, “Review” or “Support” to tell them apart. If one form serves all three, let visitors choose the subject.
Using a website builder? Copy this prompt
Add a feedback and support form to my website.
My mailcontact form link: [PASTE YOUR FORM LINK]
Ask for an email address and a message. Add a subject selector with Feedback, Review and Support.
Use MailContact's hosted /forms/v1.js script with data-mailcontact-form, method POST and my form link as the action.
Include data-contact-status for feedback and keep the attribution link visible on Free.
Follow https://mailcontact.app/docs/form-endpoint for the integration.Keep extra details in the message
mailcontact receives email, message, name and subject. For a rating, order number or page URL, ask visitors to include it in the message. If your builder adds separate inputs, have it combine those values into message before sending: unsupported fields are ignored.
Hear about new requests, then follow up
Turn on email notifications so you know when someone writes. Pro and Plus also support Slack, Discord and webhooks, plus replies from the inbox. Use the same conversation to ask a follow-up question or let someone know their issue is fixed.
Start with the form your users need most. You can use the same inbox for general questions, product feedback and support, then build a waitlist for your next launch with the same approach.
