Pricing questions, answered
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan gives you 1 form + 1 email address, an auto-generated address, the unified inbox, Discord + email notifications, and up to 2 projects. That is enough to run a real contact inbox for a portfolio and a side project without paying anything.
What will Pro cost?
Honestly: we haven't set the number yet. Pro pricing will be announced at launch, and waitlist members hear it first. What we can say now is what Pro adds: the address of your choice, more projects and addresses, higher volume, Slack, webhooks, WhatsApp, and a team inbox.
What counts as a project?
A project is one inbox with its own sources: a form endpoint for your site and an email address like yourproject@mailcontact.app. Your portfolio and your side project would be two projects, each with its own inbox, all visible from one account.
Can I use my own domain for the email address?
Not yet. Addresses live on mailcontact.app for now. That is what makes them work immediately, with no DNS records or mail server to set up. On the free plan the address is auto-generated; Pro lets you pick the address you want on mailcontact.app.
What happens when I hit the free plan limits?
During the beta, limits are soft. If you run into them, nothing disappears and your inbox keeps working. We'll reach out before anything is restricted. Hard limits and clear upgrade paths arrive together with Pro pricing at launch.
