First, the thing nobody else on this page's search results will tell you: Getform no longer exists as a brand. It rebranded to Forminit in January 2026, and getform.io now redirects to forminit.com. If you came here wondering whether Getform is dead, it isn't. It has a new name, and your existing endpoints kept working through the change.
So the real question is whether Forminit is what you want, or whether you want something shaped differently. mailcontact starts from the project rather than the form: each project gets one inbox that receives both its form submissions and messages sent to its own real email address, with pings in Discord, Slack, email, or a webhook.
what is getform
Getform was a straightforward form backend: endpoint URLs for HTML forms, a dashboard of stored submissions, spam filtering, file uploads, email notifications, webhooks, and Zapier automations. It is now Forminit, announced on 14 January 2026, and the product carried over: same model, same endpoints, new name and domain.
It is a solid, forms-only tool, and it stays one under the new brand. What it doesn't do is receive email: there's no inbound address for a project, and messages are organised per form rather than in a per-project inbox that combines every channel.

It was rebranded, not shut down. Getform.io became Forminit in January 2026, announced by the team on 14 January, and getform.io now issues a redirect to forminit.com. The product and its endpoints carried over. If you have a form pointing at a Getform endpoint, nothing needs to change on your side.
No. A rename is not a signal to move, and moving costs you a deploy for no gain. The reasons to look at something else are the same as they were before: whether you want an inbound email address, whether one inbox per project fits how you work, or whether the pricing suits your volume.
No. Both are plain HTML form endpoints, so migrating is changing one action URL in your form. Your markup, styling and field names stay as they are. One note: mailcontact's configurable post-submit redirect is coming with the launch, so submit via fetch for now if you want visitors to stay on your page.
