If you are here, there is a fair chance your Fabform form stopped delivering. Fabform.io was a straightforward form backend for static sites: set the action attribute to their endpoint, get email notifications, a dashboard, webhooks and CSV export, with a one-time payment instead of a subscription. We liked that model and this page was originally going to be an ordinary comparison.
mailcontact is a different shape of product, but it covers the same job and adds the half Fabform never had: each project gets a form endpoint and a real email address, [email protected], feeding one inbox, with alerts in Slack, Discord, email or a webhook. Below is what we found on Fabform's site, and the steps to move over.

Checked on 28 October 2026, fabform.io is in an odd state. The homepage describes a Typeform-style conversational form builder rather than a form backend, and ends with a line saying the site was recovered with the free version of a Wayback downloader tool. The Pricing link and the 'Create free account' link both return a 404 from the hosting server. The last archived pricing page we could find, from 28 August 2026, listed a $0 plan with unlimited forms and responses and a $99 lifetime deal, for the form builder. Earlier, on 15 February 2026, the archived pricing for the form backend was a Free plan with 1 form and 50 submissions a month, and a $59 one-time payment for unlimited forms and submissions, webhooks, file uploads up to 1 GB, API access and Google Sheets.
We cannot tell you whether existing endpoints still process submissions, and the site itself does not say. What we can say is that a service whose signup page is gone is not one to point a new form at. If Fabform comes back with a working site, we will update this page; the date above is when we last looked.

Create a mailcontact project, copy its form URL into the action attribute of your existing form, and redeploy. Field names do not need to change. Submissions land in the project inbox and you can add an email, Slack or Discord notification channel so you see them where you did before. The post-submit redirect is not configurable yet, so if your Fabform setup redirected to a thank-you page, submit with fetch and show the message in the page.
Only if you can still log in. Fabform offered CSV export on its paid plan, so if the dashboard loads for you, export now and keep the file. mailcontact cannot import submissions from another service, but conversations in a mailcontact inbox can be exported, so you will not be in this position twice.
Two things, when it was running. It accepted file uploads, up to 1 GB on the paid plan, and it charged once: $59 for the backend, later $99 for the builder. mailcontact is a subscription, €9/month or €90/year for Pro, and the form endpoint does not take files. If either of those is decisive, a lifetime-deal product is the right fit, with the caveat this page is about.
Free covers one project, one form and 50 messages a month, which is the same volume Fabform's old free plan offered. Pro at €9/month or €90/year adds ten projects, an inbound email address per project, 1,000 messages a month, replies from the project address and the Slack, Discord and webhook channels. Plus at €29/month raises that to fifty projects and 10,000 messages.
